FINGER ROSARY

The Rosary Effect

This tiny finger Rosary, adorned with delicate baby feet, has a story that continues to unfold. My heart rejoices in the way the Holy Spirit has blessed me and my friends with this sacramental. The most wonderful people in my life are woven into this mystery of a Lost Treasure Found.

Jim Shrader called late in the evening to wish me a happy birthday. The call amazed me nearly as much as seeing the finger rosary for the first time. A couple hours earlier Phil Thomason and I were discussing ways to replicate the rosary using clay or silicone to make molds. It dawned on me that Jim Shrader was the perfect man to contact for help.

Jim is a talented inventor and creator of the most beautiful and unique jewelry. He has patented solid gold claps that are manufactured throughout the world. We are blessed to have many of his creations on our hands and around our necks. I am proud to be Jim’s friend and financial advisor for decades.

It was great to hear from Jim on my birthday and even more so to share the story of the finger rosary. I sent him an email with Lost Treasure Found while we talked. Jim was moved by the story and wanted to help me make more. He called me the next day and methodically explained the process of making 3-D casts, then connecting them in a ‘tree’, making a mold and then injecting them with hot liquid metal. We could choose from just about any metal and plate them as well.

I took the rosary to his office located inside Guy Beards Designs on Hendrix Ave. This is the location of Jim’s new jewelry business. He introduced me to his partners and staff. He was very excited to hold the finger rosary and examined it like only a jeweler can.

Spiritual Adoption

He told everyone of our friendship and the story of the ring to everyone in the shop. Then he took some high-quality pictures and gave me a tour. Every step of the creation and production of the ring was there for me to see. It is impressive. I left the finger rosary with Jim and prayed a Rosary on the drive home. What a great feeling.

About ten days later Jim sent me the digital images created by his design team. These would be used in the 3-D printer to make the casts. They enhanced the details in the roses, the vines, and especially the baby feet. The corpus of Jesus was much clearer and more defined than the original which had lost much of those details from wear. We still have no idea where it originated.

But it started The Rosary Project

The Rosary Project

It has become clear this unique Baby Feet Finger Rosary has started a new series of ministries under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Jim Shrader and I were both very pleased with the new image of the rosary. Now it was time to talk about quantity and cost. We decided to make the rosaries using sterling silver. Most of the cost is in the labor of production. Silver is a noble metal which will get a nice patina over time and is simply beautiful.

I called Brian Shields, the founder of Lumen Entertainment, Inc., and we discussed the spiritual adoption campaign we ran together back in 2012. We decided it was time to start another spiritual adoption campaign and use finger rosaries to help people pray for the unborn and their parents. This time the adoption campaign will run perpetually. People who spiritually adopt will begin in week 1 and get messages from their baby in the womb for 40 weeks. Each person is on their own baby’s timeline.

With the expertise of Mark Kelly, the CEO of Kelly Advantage, Inc., the MySpiritualAdoption.com web page went live on April 8th, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

We now have 600 sterling silver Baby Feet Finger Rosaries paid in full by donations. These are being given away for FREE to anyone whose heart is touched by this rosary. Every donation of $30.00 going forward will allow us to manufacture and give away more. I am not counting the cost, only the blessings, and faith that God will provide more than what we need.

God Bless,
